Can Dialectics Break Bricks?
February 24, 2008
I managed to find a copy of the legendary Situationist film Can Dialectics Break Bricks? at Quimby’s. What a treat! It appears they were practicing detournement long before Adbusters. If you’d like to see the film please let me know!
Here’s a bit of it:

I love the Guy Debord, I didn’t even know about the existence of this movie, thanks for alerting me to it! Sounds like a Stage6 candidate, don’t you think?

My pleasure! It would make an excellent addition to the Stage6 repertory, and the Situationists would surely approve. How does one go about the upload? I suppose some ripping software is required?
Wouldn’t it be nice if there were a site that provided tools specifically for the detourning of films, commercials, and media generally? Maybe there is?
